Current Programme

Due to the current limitations placed on the activities of community
facilities in light of the COVID Pandemic we will be offering the following
limited programme of activities: –

Tuesday 11:30 – 1:30pm | Lunch Club

Open to anyone to come along for a healthy balanced home cooked two course
meal and the opportunity to socialize with a varied group of adults.

£3.50 per head includes tea and coffee.

Tuesday 6 – 9pm | Newcastle All-Stars Steel Pans

One of the regions premier steel pan orchestra’s.

There will be three mixed gender youth sessions per week open to all ages,
however due to social distancing limitations places will be capped to 15 per
session.

sara@dycp.org.uk to book a slot for your child to attend, each session
carries a £1 contribution.

Wednesday 4:30 – 6:30pm

Thursday 5 – 7pm

Friday 4:30 – 6:30pm

Sessions, include sports and games, cookery, arts & crafts, project based
work and an opportunity to socialize with friends in a friendly and
welcoming environment. As and when further relaxations in  social distancing
and the access to facilities occur we will return to offering trips, visits
and residentials as part of our regular and holiday activity programmes.

Coming in October

We are planning to re-launch the Denton & Westerhope Mature Action group for
over 50’s, the first half hour is set aside for gentle exercise/ Tai Chi for
those who wish to take part. Alternatively come along at 12:30 for the main
part of the meeting. Activities include Guest Speakers on a range of
subjects including local history, meet your local councillors/MP and a
variety of other activities as chosen by members.

Thursday between 12:00 – 2:30 monthly on the third Thursday

Outside of these times the centre is open for hire from anyone who needs a
room to hold meetings, children’s birthday parties or training sessions. The
centre has three separate rooms one of which can be set up for training
purposes and there is access to IT facilities including projector and screen
and can comfortable seat 40 people. We also have a fully equipped kitchen
for the preparation of hot or cold food and refreshments. A second can be
used for indoor sports and games and is equipped with a sound system for
parties.
